Picasso's Ghosts

I often start a new piece without knowing where I want to go. This started with an old canvas from my art school days, which I began to cover up with leftover paint a couple of months ago. Then, when I was ready to make a new piece, I made some Japanese calligraphic strokes. I sometimes do that to get some motion going on the surface. Suddenly, Picasso's Blue Period characters started to show up in my mind, then on to the canvas! It was a surprise for me, but it was a fun process.
