The Day After

The day after the 2024 presidential election, pictures of the Statue of Liberty in distress appeared on Facebook. I was particularly taken by one that was depicting her sitting down with a cigarette and drinking beer. I decided to paint her own version, inspired by Duchamp's "Nude Descending a Staircase." Of course, I changed the beer cans to wine bottles!
